Top 100 of 2012: #30-21
Hurt’s one and only single on this year’s countdown clocks in at #30. The band peaked at #3 and keeps proving that the band’s unique approach to Rock music is a recipe for longevity.
Korn did a lot of expiramenting on their last album, and with “Way Too Far” it paid off. The band’s clocks in at #29 on our year end chart.
How can you not love Halestorm? Their infectious stage presence, and Lzzy’s voice should be enough to make you a fan by themselves. “I Miss The Misery” peaked at #3 and was just another awesome song from the band.
The Gaslight Anthem exploded this year with their album “Handwritten”. “Here Comes My Man” is still strong in the top 10 on our countdown, and still have a chance to do better in 2013 than it even did this year.
The second Evanescence song on the year end countdown is “Made of Stone”, one of the more heavy songs off the band’s self-titled album, clocks in at #26 this year.
The Heavy debuted on the Aural Eyes scene with their contagious track “What Makes a Good Man”. No matter how hard you try, the infectious sound of this song will NOT go away, no matter how much you try.
Get ready, because Sixx: A.M. is already reportedly back in the studio working on their follow up to “This is Gonna Hurt”. In the meantime, enjoy the band’s 2013 smash “Are You With Me” at #24
The final song by Evanescence to chart on our year end countdown is “My Heart Is Broken”. Peaking at #2 earlier in the year, the song shows both elegance and heaviness and shows why Evanescence has such an amazing sound.
Early 2012 was good to Staind, and “Eyes Wide Open” is proof of that. The band’s second single off of their latest album ends the year at #22.
It’s odd to see a band take 2 consecutive spots on the year end countdown. That’s exactly what Staind did. The band rounds out numbers 30-21 with “Now”.
