If you’re not one of the 1 Million+ who have already viewed it, here is the new video from Arcade Fire titled “Reflektor”
This is one of those week’s that comes around a few times a year were there is an explosion of debuts. Though there are debuts a plenty, only one managed to crack the top 10, and that was Sixx: A.M. with “Gotta Get It Right”. An odd trivia tid bit: Flyleaf debuts on the countdown with their new track “Set Me On Fire” which puts them on the same chart with former singer Lacey Sturm, who is featured as a solo artist on this week’s #9 song “Take The Bullets Away” by We As Human. In a different debut situation, In Flames’ track “Rusted Nail” makes it’s debut at #1 this week on the chart. With the massive competition on the chart, can they hold on next week too? For now, enjoy!

Hawthorne Heights unfortunately hasn’t been a mainstay on the Aural Eyes music charts throughout the years, but in 2008, they struck gold with “Rescue Me”. The song only spent 2 weeks at the top of the chart, but was one of the best songs of that summer. In the decision process leading up to the 2008 Aural Eyes Music Awards, Hawthorne Height were so close to being nominated in several categories, but in the end was shut out. However, spending 2 weeks at #1 was good enough to get them to #8 on the 2008 year end chart. Check out this week’s blast from the past: “Rescue Me”.
Hinder has parted ways with lead singer Austin Winkler. The band cites “personal reasons” as the motive for the split. Hinder plans to continue with a new lead singer, who has as of yet not been announced.
Eye Empire has released the video for “More Than Fate”. You can check it out below:
Slash pulled off an impressive jump this week, leaping from #19 all the way to #8. Unfortunately, Sevendust took a slide down the wrong way of the countdown, slipping from #5 all the way down to #16. And the madness doesn’t stop there. The Lumineers have re-entered the countdown impressively, clocking in at #9 in their first week back. Phillip Phillips has the best debut of the year so far with his new track coming in at #3. But most importantly, Papa Roach hits #1 this week for (surprisingly) the first time ever here at Aural Eyes. But with Dead Sara hot on their trails, can they keep it for long? Enjoy!

Once again this week, there was a lot of movement, and a lot of debuts. Papa Roach and Aranda took a huge jump this week, while Phillip Phillips, Halestorm and Beware of Darkness all took some pretty significant hits. Throughout all of the madness though, In Flames was able to latch on to #1 for the second straight week. Enjoy!

This week’s Visual Saturday comes from Dead Sara.
Dead Sara had a great 2012, especially here at Aural Eyes! The band scored 2 end-of-year top 10 songs in 2012, were crowned “Best New Artist” in our 2012 End of Year Music Awards, and their latest track to chart on our countdown “Lemon Scent”, (which is the focus of this week’s Visual Saturday), debuted in the top 10.
With their infectious riffs and powerful vocals, Dead Sara creates a hard rock performance full of energy and power. You can catch them this winter on tour with Muse, and we highly recommend checking them out!
If you’re a fan of rock music, we defy you not to be captivated by this up and coming band that is looking to take the music world by storm.
