Silversun Pickups Offer Cease-and-Desist Order Against Mitt Romney

The Silversun Pickups aren’t too thrilled with Republican Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney. Romney, who is using the band’s track “Panic Switch”, was dealt a Cease-and-Desist order by the band. In a statement by lead singer Brian Aubert, he states:

“We don’t like people going behind our backs, using our music without asking, and we don’t like the Romney campaign. We’re nice, approachable people. We won’t bite. Unless you’re Mitt Romney!”

Silversun Pickups Announce Album Release Date, New Single

The Silversun Pickups have announced that their new album is titled “Neck of the Woods”, and will be released on May 8th, 2012. The lead single off of the album will be “Bloody Mary (Nerve Endings)”.

Chimes of Freedom: Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International

A new album titled “Chimes of Freedom: Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International” is available for purchase today.

The album features 75 tracks from artists such as Rise Against, My Morning Jacket, The Airborne Toxic Event, Jack’s Mannequin, Adele, My Chemical Romance and Bob Dylan himself.

The album is a compilation album featuring a large variety of artists providing their own recordings of Bob Dylan compisitions. Proceeds raised from the album will be donated to Amnesty International.

Aural Eyes Countdown: 1/8/2012
